was wondering if you could help me.iv just bought a saab 93 td.but it wont go into reverse gear unless i let it roll backwards whilst selecting reverse.then it goes in.if i park on a flat road it wont go in at all.any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.could you email me at [email protected] with any answers.thanks:)

Welcome to the forum!

Aligning the linkage should help, and normally that is the least effort and therefore the first step. There are also some bushings and plastic parts associated with the shifter that have been known to break.

Yes PMI nailed it as usual.:cheesy:

Also check the transmission and engine mounts. If one or more is sagging or cracked, the alignment might be affected as well.
