Good evening. I have searched the forum but didn't find an answer. How difficult is it to replace the non bose non nav blacktie gm radio with an aftermarket in a 2011 9-3 SS? Does anyone know if any of the major brands makes a direct replacement?

Thanks,
Bill

Here's a list of threads on the subject:

Finally...I have all the parts for the Pioneer Avic D3

Pioneer Avic F700bt installed in my 08 9-3SS

Another Kenwood TV into a 2007 9-3 SS
ANOTHER KENWOOD MAKEOVER w/SWC
TurboX stereo. 2-Din Alpine\ Hertz

These threads are from some of us that have successfully changed the stereo in the 2007 onwards cars, there have been others since I compiled this list.

Those that have attempted to retain the steering wheel controls have had varying levels of success.

As far as I know, there's no difference in wiring or setup in the 2011 cars, the car's the same so the stereo shouldn't have changed.

I've just replaced my standard head unit with a kenwood DNX7210BT and it was dead easy (for the shop who did it) looks standard once job done.

yes with the adapator, they work, the only thing that doesnt is the onboard bluetooth phone but the head unit has bluetooth parrot in it and has a lot more options on it for the phone.
