Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone has changed their clutch. I have a 05 9-2x aero with 170,000 miles on it. Its definitely time to change it. Is this a job I could do or is it better to have a shop do it? Is the same clutch for a wrx (same year) compatible with the 9-2x? Thanks for any info you have.

They arnt very hard to do i did a bunch when i worked at subaru. the parts are interchangeble if i believe. The hardest part about them is removing the trans. Because there are steel alignment pins on the engine block that slide into the trans ive had to get 2 guys with 5 foot pry bars tryin to pop those pins loose

YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THE PIN THAT GOES THROUGH THE CLUTCH FORK.

Don't pry with force, pry around the bell housing as much as possible.
