Hi, I'm new to this forum, and was hoping that someone would be able to atleast point me in the right direction for my project. I should start off by saying that I am a glass blower (lampworker specifically), with that said, I would like to replace my oem shift knob with one made of pyrex, I would of course make it myself. I have seen others do this, but on cars that you can already easily install after market shifters on, like vw's and hondas. If anyone has any ideas on how to remove the old knob and replace it, it would be much appreciated. Here is a link Ifound to some pics of shift knobs made by another artist. thanks, that helps alot. It now brings forth a few design challenges on my end, since I have to make a knob that can house the spring, not just attach the the gear lever. That reverse lock has been my biggest block in trying to figure out how to design something for it, now I have a much better understanding of how it is all meant to be assembled.
