So I removed the radio because I'm cutting the car for racing and without the radio in the vehicle it will not start. Now before I come through piles and piles of wiring diagrams is this radio necessary for the vehicle to run?? Anyone jump down this rabbit hole before?

ICM is critical part. You have to put it back.
ICM is your "radio", radio is actually behind AC/ACC panel.

Thanks! I was afraid of that. Looks like I'll have to bypass it all and run fuel pump and starter to my own switch. I'll bypass all those modules.

Leave ICM and put MOST fibres to loop. Then you can remove all other audio parts inc. radio, amp and speakers.

All other radio parts were removed. The rear amp, front amp under the seat, speakers, just not the head unit with all the buttons. I'll look into what you are saying on Monday. Should be interesting
