I know this may be an old topic in here but...
Is the reason behind only 1 rear fog light?

1. Is the hole already drilled to put one in on the other side?

2. Is there a Kit to buy for the other light?
a. or is it relatively easy for a DIY'r?

Sorry for the old question, but I am a new owner.

To let other drivers know your there in fog, but not make them think they are brake lights.

Also, I'm pretty sure you can just plug in the other light, but then it defeats the whole safety purpose.

If you notice, the fog light that comes on the car is on the driver's side...or the non-curb side. This allows vehicles following you to know which side of the vehicle is the outside, if they are going to pass.

Yes there is another one on the oppposite side as well, because the car is driven on both sides of the world/highway :cheesy: . A few guys have been installing the second one and using them as "GET OFF OF MY ***" lights if some idiot decides to tailgate. Because the first reaction is to think that the brakes are on.

Hehe. I have used this function as well. I flash the rear fog light when some idiot is sitting on my bumper with his brights on.

I use it to "wink" at other saabs as I pass them. yeah, sad, I know :cheesy:
