What is the best way to make the rear decor panel fit close to the bodywork, mine is loose since the previous owner's cherished no plate was replaced with the original plate. I can't see any fastenings but I know there must be some somewhere!
I think the number plate screws hold it on. Other than that - you need to use something sticky. Not sure how they did it OEM but mine had sticky fixer tabs (kind-of) holding it on. Most recently - after the respray - I re-attached it using glue. I used masking tape to hold the pannel on while the glue was setting. You need to make sure the reflective backing does not peel off - I think I might have lost a bit from behind the number plate.
Thanks, I'll have a look in the morning, too dark to see now! I only bought it a fortnight ago and am wading through all the reciepts and bills etc to see what sort of life it's had, obviously very cared for as it went for every service, winter check, pre-holiday check up etc.
