Hello- Does anyone make or rent the tool that fits the piston perfectly (without "customizing" it with a dremel tool)? I don't need it yet, but when the time comes to do my brakes, I would rather not use needle nose pliers to turn the piston back.

Yes AdvanceAuto has a kit you can borrow. It's called the Master Disc Brake Kit Item# 648622. You have to put $99 on your card (or cash) but you get i back when you return the kit. It works great but it doesn't have the socket you need to do the fronts.

If the rear is all you want to do this kit will get you there.

Good Luck.

If you cannot get the special tool, you can use a large C-clamp to push in while you rotate the caliper piston clockwise with a large adjustable pliers. Put electrical tape over the teeth to avoid gouging the piston edges. This worked great for me when I disassembled/reassembled my calipers to paint them. My local autoparts stores did not rent the tool...wanted me to buy the kit for $100. :(
