a real quick question, is the camshaft drive belt the same as the timing belt in the V6? i have an 01 9-5 SE with 85k miles on it and i just noticed in the manual that saab replaces this camshaft belt at no charge before 100k miles. in addition to this belt, is there anything else they would replace at no charge if it was needed: fuel pump, etc...? thanks

Yes, same belt.

They don't replace anything else for free. If you haven't done the cam belt yet at 85K get thee to the dealer and get it done pronto. Do a search about replacing pulleys at the same time, many recommend it.

As a V6 owner, I agree pronto!!!! Oh and if you need to replace the water pump. This is good time. Also have them check you pulleys. New belt on worn pulleys bad. Pulley failure = rebuild if possible but if it fails at high speed prepare to fork over for a replacement.
