Hello - I am new to the forum and been looking at Saabs the past couple months. I have come across a 2006 9-3 Arc with a non-functioning radio. I have read about Amp 1 failing and looked online to see that part is about $900.

Any suggestions on other possible fixes for a non functioning radio and cost estimates to fix it?

You can get used Amp2's for way less than $900.

If the car has ever been jumpstarted it could be the EHU or the ICM as well.

Try:
ebay

Thanks. Just checked eBay and see two options for Amp 1 refurb or a by pass with limited speaker functionality for cheaper than $900.

Are the EHU and ICM inexpensive or easy fixes?

Like I said, it's a temporary fix, the sound quality isn't great, but it's not terrible either, door speaker don't work (and I guess center dash, didn't know about that one) but the dash and rear speakers do work. I've never experienced a properly working stereo in this car so I don't know what I'm missing, but for a temporary, free, 20 minute fix, my commute is much better than it was in complete silence. Until I can fix it properly, this works for me.
