Last summer I had a dead battery 2 or 3 times. The weather here just started getting warmer again. I noticed that my radiator fan was still running after the car had been sitting for 20 mins. I'm guessing that's what killed the battery last summer.

I'm thinking maybe a stuck fan relay? Anyone else have any ideas? I read that there was an Ecu software upgrade for 06 Aeros that made the fan run longer to help dissipate heat from the Turbo.

What do you mean by stuck?

It is supposed to run after the car is shut off for a bit. Did you ever replace the battery? If is original you might want to replace it.

And check with your dealer on the service campaign for the coolant tank and ECU software update.

I mean the fan is still running 20 to 30 mins after I shut the car off. That seems too long to me.

I don't think the battery is the issue. I had the battery tested and it didn't give me any problems this winter.
