Ok so I haven't been under my car in a while but I can easily gauge where the drain plug is.. but I'm wondering what would be the easiest way to access it?
Should I remove the splash guard below it to allow it to drain straight to the ground below or does the fluid have a clear drop to the ground?

im pretty sure the drain plug is the rad fan sensor, it should be easily accessible from the top with a wrench

On my '94 there is a drain at the bottom of the tank on the same side as the rad fan sensor. (I think it's that side.:roll: ) The fluid doesn't fall straight to the ground though. It just slightly catches the lip on the front frame crossmember and makes a lovely mess. Use a wide pail to catch the fluid with.

^^^ Ok, bit odd for that to be the method of draining. Unless there are other suggestions then I'll have a look at doing it the way you suggested. I thought there was supposed to be a small plug on the bottom of the radiator.
Lart 24 in this picture is what I thought the radiator drain plug.

Yep got one of those already to install.. but still need to know where there is a drain point. I've found a good doco on Townsend site.

OK, so I guess I'll go with the hose at the bottom left of the radiator (or is it bottom right from cars point of view :roll

Looks like it'll make a complete mess but oh well, we'll see how it goes.

Part #24 is the drain plug. It's a flimsy feeling plastic thing. I've had mine out a half dozen or so times and even tho it always seems like it should break, it never has.

I dislike antifreeze on the ground, it's not good for living things.

^^^ Yeah I'm not a fan of killing things either, coming from a relatively green state. Although I don't think there is much antifreeze or additives in there anymore. I've had to top up with plain water over and over for the last year. There's no evident coolant leak.

I'll just remove all the splash guards and see how I go from there.
