ME9 is the ECM in the fault code search, there is still no EDM option. Maybe check Ibiza?

My bad, it's actually ECM:

How would I get Whopper Wednesday if I don't go to Burger King?

No ME9 in 2004, but I did find T8. Not sure how I missed that before, maybe I grabbed some wildly incorrect model year.

I'm not sure Ibiza is my style.

  1. How is oil life reset? I have gone to the system settings with car running or before engine is started. I only get oil life info. There is no option to reset.
  2. What use, really, is the monochrome screen in ICM2? It just reminds me of a very early IBM PC screen, all monochrome green letters. And that is not particularly nostalgic--amber monochrome was so much better.

1: When you reset service, it reset oil quality.
2: Best button in ICM2 is OFF ;)

Stop eating Burger King, it will damage your eyes.

I have not had the SERVICE message. Oil quality is around 65%. Despite that, the car has had a couple of oil changes with no reset of the quality. Can this be done with Tech II? I looked around a bit, and did not see any promising menu items.

Wow! That works! Where did you find this piece of information??

....Does that mean I'm good on my current oil until 2024? That's only three years.

@EdT on here somewhere, forgot to add once the service is reset, change the year back to 2021..i actually never take any notice of the oil quality in the sid,oil change is 18k mls or 2yrs which is too long between oil changes imo..

Ok here's my stupid question! Recently purchased an 06 9-3 Aero vert, which forum should I be in? Lol Specifically the issue with the passenger lock. My mechanic said it was a common issue, sometimes it locks/unlocks with the fob, sometimes it doesn't! Both sides, sometimes the express feature of the windows doesn't work. Going to a salvage yard tomorrow, they have an 04, what should I try to get or not bother with? And any hints on how to find tutorials to accomplish such would be great!

Thanks everyone!

You can download WIS and EPC from the Tech II forums here. WIS is workshop information system and will give all the procedures.

It really helps to put a Tech II on the car and see what problem(s) come up. Otherwise you are guessing at what the real root causes are. If there isn't a Saab specialist in town, you can look in the Tech II forum for members with one of this in your area.
