Hi y'all. I was wondering what needs to be done to remove the rear suspension. Mainly do the springs in the rear suspension have to be compressed in order for the axle to be taken out? Or can I just let the rear end of car down carefully? Just wondering before I go out and buy a spring compressor.

It is always best practice to use a proper spring compressor so that you don't stress the parts beyond their normal range of motion. Don't break anything, use a compressor.
