The transformation is about to begin! I managed to pick up a TD04 for cheap

anyways, from what I've read an aero ECU is recommended but not 100% required. But after searching I haven't been able to definitively nail down what, if any, other parts are needed to swap out the GT17 for this. And is this a DIY job or best done by professionals?

Looks sweet, I can't help you out right now because I'm still waiting for my TD04 to arrive to do the same install as you. I understand that all that you'll need is 1 banjo bolt and a couple 1/2" copper washers for the oil supply line at the turbo. I'm planning on replacing ALL copper seals since I loosened both ends of the line on every line to remove the turbo. It might be overkill but I don't want any leaks!
