Hello again, I just got my first Saab (love my Sweedish cars, coming from a 94 Volvo 850 and I still love it).

Anyway, it's a 96 900SE Turbo and it has the stock steering wheel airbag unit in it. Everything works just fine but I have another assembly from a newer model (I was thinking a 9-5 but I may be wrong) because I got a lot... A LOT of parts with the car. I was wondering if I would be able to just plug this unit into my steering wheel and be able to use the radio and volume controls natively.

I should also add that I have an aftermarket JVC head unit installed. It was put in by a doctor of electrical engineering that I purchased the car from because someone installed one in wrong before him.

I'll attach pictures below of what I want to add.

If I can't do what I'm planning on doing, what could i do with this? Just sell it?

The steering wheel controls run through the SID on the 9-3/5 models, the ng900 has a different SID and isn't wired for them, that being said it's possible to work around this with an aftermarket stereo. The two wires on the connector are fed +5V and Gnd, depending on which button is pressed resistance varies across them. Feed them with the correct signals and then connect an aftermarket steering wheel adapter to them for your head unit.

Darn.. I don't know if its worth all that trouble just for a few extra buttons.

Is there any way i could use it as a spare in the case of airbag deployment? Would it fit on the 900 wheel without modification?

Also, not to get off topic but I've been looking through my parts boxes and I came across these and I have no idea what they are and I have a bunch of them. If someone could tell me what would be great!
