This is more of a new buyers guide spec questionar on what to check first after (or before) buying a used SAAB.

I'm making a log history of my purchase along with what needed to be done and what needs to be done.

First (my) the purchase ~~> http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=115367

Now thats done. This weekends project will be to inspect and find the exhaust leak comning from underneath the vehicle and with alittle luck fix it.

From reading the FAQ and most common symptoms. I'm betting its the flex pipe #3 in the picture. This should be an easy and cheap fix.

Doing a 100k maintence service:

Looks like the cam belt, spark plugs, fuel filter, air cleaner, brake fluid, Vent air, should be changed @ this time.

I'll bet the leak's coming from the rear right where it bends over the rear axle and connects to the muffler, where the clamp is. When I got mine, it was rotted at the top at the bend. Good luck with your saab man! It looks great!
