Ok.. So I'm not a mechanic by any means and can hardly check the oil lol.. But my Saab broke down 2 weeks ago and the guy that usually fixes my cars said the engine is shot and that's it. Me being a stubborn women, said F*** Y** and started to work on it myself! So here is some back history I have had an oil leak due to the holes in my oil pan for a year now but I keep putting oil in every other day about 2 mo ago it started missing and it didn't matter if i was going 5 mph or 50 it would just:roll: do it whenever. Two weeks ago however I was on the highway and I though my car blew up smoke everywhere so I pulled over and got it towed. I wouldn't say its white smoke more of a gray or puffs of dark then turning white maybe but it fills the road to where you can not see. So I did some digging and watched a lot of youtube and I changed my spark plugs and one of my coils the car starts great runs fine in the driveway oh might I add on the highway I lost power like the pedle didn't work lol.. After I did the plugs I drove it around the block and all seemed good had power nice pickup Bla bla.. yesterday I was taking it to the parts store and about 5 miles into my trip poof smoke again and when I would stop I had poor excelaration it seems the smoke is worse when I go to excelarate idk I also did a pressure test and all were fine.. PLEASE HELP could it be turbo or is it a head?

Well, I applaud you sense of adventure and stubbornness.

A few questions:

1. What pressure did you test? A cylinder compression test or something else? What were the readings if compression?

2. Have you had any codes read via OBD2 port? If yes what are they? If not you need to do that pronto...

3. Holes in your oil pan? From what and why has that not been repaired? That should be a priority in my book. Assuming of course engine is not damaged from this condition.

4. You only changed one coil? You might need more new ones as it does sound like you have misfires under load which is typically coils. Having codes read will help point out if this is still an issue.
