Just today me and my dad were changing out coolant lines. Everything went really well, until I went to go drive the car around a little bit. We didn't tighten down the intake pipe to the throttle body enough so it popped off while boosting.

I pulled over real quick because I heard this loud pop and my oil light came on so I thought something horrible happened. Luckily the pipe just popped off. It's now back on real tight, but now my pressure gauge is only making it to the mid yellow area.

Any ideas of why this could be happening?

No I haven't. I have taken off the valve cover and everything looked good. When the pipe popped off the pressure gauge went all the way to the red for some reason, and then the oil light and battery light came on.

I turned the car off and back on and the lights turned off. I just can't figure out why the boost will only go to the midway point just because the intake pipe popped off.

Ok, the motor may have stalled when the pipe came, especially since the alternator light came on too.

If you're sure that you still don't have a boost leak, you might try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes or so, then reconnect it and let the ECU relearn it's settings... Ron
