When indicating, SID's little heartbeat can be heard ... tic, toc, tic, toc, tic ... and so on until the flashers stop.

My SID is unwell. Every now and then he misses a tic or a toc

I first noticed this ailment around 8 – 10 months ago and I estimate it to be somewhere around the 100th beat which misses. Vague, I know, it’s a big gap, 100 is as accurate as it’s ever gone get

All I could find was ’ Indicator not ticking ‘ which didn’t really help

Anyone got a pacemaker for me good ole SID?

Mine does that too, and has since I've been driving the car (4 years). Still not sure if the tic tok actually skips or if it's some kind of strange neural reaction.

(as in: "We applied the cortical electrodes, but we were unable to get a neural reaction from either patient.")

My SID is only about a year old and also does it. I suspect its the indicator relay rather than than the SID.

I've noticed this as well but I thought it was just me so I'm relieved others have heard it too.

The tick and tock noise will be controlled by software (like almost everything in the 9-5) so I reckon it's a minor software bug.

I'm just pleased I'm not getting addled !
