Hey folks,
I ended up having to swap engines out a few months ago on my '99 9-3se 'vert. Bit of a heartbreaker and probably the wrong long-term decision, but $3k+ later, I have my car back.
Within one week of getting it back from the shop, the check engine light came on - code says Oxygen Sensor is broken. Grrr.
Before bringing it back to the shop I want to check in with the forum - Is this something that would likely have happened during the course of swapping the engine or was it simply just time to replace it? I need to figure out if this is something I should ask them to cover or not.

The downpipe needs to come off before the engine comes out. The O2 sensors are on the downpipe and connected to a panel on the drivers side of the engine. The first thing that I would so is to check to make sure the cables are connected and locked in place... Ron

Check to make sure the front and back O2 connections are good and not reversed. The connectors are on the driver's side of the valve cover near the brake fluid reservoir.
