My 97' Saab 900 SE turbo tends to heat up a little bit... in the sense that it goes up to 75% of the temperature gage.

The car is also constantly running the fan, as if I've been abusing it on the highway for hours!

What can I do?

A sticking thermostat is usually the culprit in this case - this happens to all cars - many simply change the t-stat on a regular basis...

Have the temperature of the coolant professionally measured. Assure that the cooling fan ( 2 speed) runs when it should.

Partially clogged exhaust (fairly rare) can cause over-heating.

If the car is overheating consistently, the oil may be breaking down and forming deposits in the engine, which can be very harmful later. Aside from fixing the overheating, the oil should be changed a couple times on an accelerated schedule, with an engine flush if possible.
