I have an old Philips Radio Circa. 1978 which I had hoped to install in my Circa 1978 99 turbo.
However, it is apparently beyond repair.
I have been told there are individuals in the UK who can take such an old radio, and make it better (i,e. add FM) or possibly even sell a similar unit.
Could anybody point me in the right direction please?

Thanks as always....

Hi Alex,

these might be a good starting point:

Classic Car Radio 01858 446052
AC James www.radios.freeserve.co.uk 01761 413933
Vintage Wireless Company 0161 973 0438

Usual disclaimer though - have never used any of them myself, so not a recommendation as such!!

Ive got a pile of period radios here which i dont really want. One was fitted in my 1980 gl when i got it and i think is original. The radio works but IIRC it doesnt play tapes very well (they go a bit slow)

edit - just checked and i appear to have lobbed them all except one which i am keeping for my 99T (a blaupunkt paris which i dont think has FM)
