Is there any benefit(s) to be gained by opening the side grille vents on a 2.8 equipped 9-3.

i am not sure, i have mine done and it looks sweet as heck.

if i remember correctly, they closed the side grilles "to sacrifice cooling for down force".

kind of hard to see in pictures.

I thought they closed those off to not get water inside. I remember reading about something behind the right grille that could potentially get wet and isn't good. Not sure who, but someone on this forum opened them up and had to do a deflector on the right side.
