I just fixed my two passenger door panels, and all rattles gone for good. Now I have to figure out what causes a "creaking" sound aroung the door frames, when the 9-3 body moves/vibrates. I notice that the creaking sounds, which are in all 4 doors, go away when I roll the windows down just a bit. Has anyone figured out the cure for this!!

Otherwise, I love my 04 Aero.

they are the most annoying rattles in the entire car i believe. I spoke to the dealership about this, they "greased" it up many times and they still creak.....
I also have a vector. Dealer lubed the weather stripping around all doors with silicon lube and it became better, but not all gone. They said they drove brand new 93s and they do make the noise as well...

Figured out the problem

Thanks guys for your help. The clues to the creaking problems were:

1) They got a lot worse when I cleaned up my entire car, and applied Son-Of-A-Gun treatment to the window frame rubber. A lot worse.
2) Rolling down the windows, which relieves some pressure on the window frame/body contact, improved the situation.

So I put pure silicon spray on the top window frame rubber (on the part which contacts the body), and on the black plastic on which it rubs on the car body.

Instantly, 99% of the creaks disappeared. Guys, it's the top rubber/body contact. NOT the inner, soft seals. They are very quiet. An easy fix.
