Quick question - quick answer will likely suffice.

I've read a lot about problems with sludge and seen urgent prodding to drop the oil pan and inspect the sump. I drive a 2000 9-5 SE V6 Turbo. Is this oil sludge a problem on the V6 models as it is on the 4 cyl? I have seen no signs, just curious as to whether it would be worth the time for me to check it out on my next oil change. Thanks!

I guess that you could say that any car out there is prone to sludge up if the oil changes were drawn out really badly. The V6 as far as I know didn't share the sludge isses with the I-4.

Good to hear!

Oil has been changed regularily with synthetic so there shouldn't be any outlying problems. I'll gladly skip out on the sludge-check procedure and change my oil the old-fashioned way (with synthetic of course).

Thanks for the help guys!
