Owned a 2008 Combi since new with 127k with one, maybe two small engine oil leaks (5cm/2in each night). Thought it was coming from the dreaded oil sensor in the sump. Had silicone sealed that for the last 15k but the oil on the driveway continued. Finally gave up last week and paid to drop the sump and replace the sensor.

However oil continues to drip. Appears to be coming from above the sensor wire/plug (might have jumped the gun on that sensor/sump work). Attached are 2 photos from below showing oil dripping from a bolt and the other around the starter motor all above the sensor wire location at the front of the engine. There is no visible oil when looking into the engine bay from above.

Anyone thoughts on the source(s)?
thanks,
Mark

Make sure its not coming from way above (valve cover, Power steering pump) if not, check oil pressure sensor and oil cooler o-rings.

This might be leaking from Oil Pressure sensor. I just replaced it few weeks ago (what a pain in the *** job) but after that it stopped leaking and no more errors.
