Is there such a thing as a number matching car?
And if so, do you think that will be a big deal in 20 years?
For me it wouldn't matter, but it does seem to be a big deal in the classic american car world. The price difference between a numbers matching car and one that doesn't is pretty big.
I can think of the easy stuff like making sure the head stamp matches the year of the car and the tranny tag matches for the type and year of the car, but I'm not aware of any VIN type numbers on any of those components.
