My driver side front door speaker went out, so I'm going to take this chance to go ahead and replace the front door speakers if I can.
Though my real question is, what is a solid recommended replacement for the stock speakers?
I have the AS3 system, and according to this website, those speakers are 2.4 ohm? :
http://www.mitt-eget.com/saab/faq_audio.shtml
Location Size Impedance Amplifier power Frequency range

Front doors 6.5" 2.4 ohm 2 x 22W bass/midrange
That seems kind of strange. Are regular 6.5" 2 ohm speakers okay?
Has anyone replaced their door speakers with little trouble?
The less hassle the better for me...

Thanks for any help.

The sound won't be that much different with the 2ohm speakers; change both doors and you'll barely hear a difference they should sound good. Also make sure they fit the speaker brackets/mounts in the doors.

Check Crutchfield.com; they claim to have vehicle fitment most folks usually replace with OEM. I had to change a few myself (r-deck, dash and door) rear deck I went aftermarket (boss 6x9 2ohm coax). Just pull the bad speaker out and take it with you to the stores to compare the size.
