So i have 05 saab 9-3 just put in a new blower motor resistor, worked fine.. then it would keep running with the car off and then it stopped working. What could be the issue?

Blower, which fired resistor (again).

Steps to diagnose:
1. check the fuses associated with the climate control -see car manual
2. check the electrical in to the fan motor with a multimeter to see if the resistor is working properly at different speeds
3. If #2 no, then replace resistor (get a refund) ; If #2 yes, you have to replace the fan motor
