1989 900 turbo

Fire it up and go around...

Oops no brakes

That was fun.

I press the pedal and it just sinks to the floor with little braking action.

I think the master cyl seals are bad. Will a M87 master cyl (old brakes) fit the 89 (non abs newer brakes)

Sounds like you have no brake fluid? but if you cant open your hood you cant check.

Get the hood open first, used some welly and pull that cable:cheesy:

I do vaguely remember someone fitting old brakes onto an ABS car. As you are aware a lot of the c900 accessories are retro-fit so it's rare to find significant differences. Also I think both braking systems were available at the same time so that increases your chances.

Check your brake lines as well. I've had a couple blow out. Usually this happens near the rear axle, but one was under the door trim. You can hear squishing if you get a friend to pump the brakes for you and you get under the car.

I have brake fluid. Really nasty brake fluid but it is there  Neither car has ABS, but the 1987 of course has the front handbrake, the 89 has the rear handbrake. The hood opens on this one :) I'll check the lines.
