I want to "perfect" what is a simple operation using everyones experience.

I know the plugs are crucial to optimum performance on the trionic 7.
Id like to take out my plugs and check / regap them.
What is the gathered wisdom to achieve the perfect gap set with regard to technique.

ie

Remove plugs.
I know that di cassette should be stored upright .
clean plugs with ?
Check gap with - any preferred gap tool for accuracy ?
Adjust gap with any preferred tool for opening / closing gap ?
1 mm gap recommended ?

My preferred wisdom is to take them out, throw them away and put new ones in, all for about £8 GBP ;)

I pulled mine out the other day and they were gapped at .030", the stock gap is .037". So don't go thinking it'll be right when it's new.
