Manual Transmission Issues
*Thanks to JMarkert for building this section*

The clutch pedal on my ng900 seems to have a lot of play. Sometimes the gears grind and it is hard to find reverse.
LINK 1

My clutch pedal feels very heavy, is there a way to fix it? AND I have to manually adjust my "self-adjusting" cable very often. Is there a way around this?
LINK 1

I'm sick of the whole cable issue. I don’t even want to bother with the manually adjustable cable. Can I put a hydraulic clutch in my car?

I’ve fixed the clutch cable, but I’m still having trouble finding some gears. Can the linkage be adjusted?

would this be a mod FAQ as well? If so, maybe a link to redline's post about ecu decisions and comparisons.

All links fixed.
Yes, a mod thread as well. The whole second half is that.
Should I group the 99 with the 900's?
I don't want to explain stuff in this thread, just point to other threads where people have discussed these issues. Basically this thread is a bunch of SEARCHS so people don't have to do it themselves. Put the most common questions where people can quickly find answers.

In a little bit I'll be posting the list of upgrades I'll be doing with my car. I don't currently have links to "how to's" and the such, however included will be links to each part for sale. Some of them are more visual upgrades, however I guess they could still count as a "mod".

Edit:
Upgrade #1:"The Bare Bones"
A)Short Throw Shifter=$75
http://www.mpperformance.com/ng900.asp
B)Rear Sway Bar=$79
http://www.mpperformance.com/ng900.asp
C)Sub-frame Brace=$49
http://www.mpperformance.com/ng900.asp
Total=$203

Upgrade #2:"The Rice Eater"
A)Leather Shift Boot=$47.70

B)Wood Shift Knob=$37

C)Clear Little Fenders=$20.90

D)JR Drop-In Sports Filter (with Cleaning Kit)=$77.60

E)Air Intake=$100.80
http://www.genuinesaab.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_23&products_id=109
Total=$284

Upgrade #3:"The Pimp Kit...fo sho"
A)Upsolute Tuning Chip=$300
http://www.upsolute.com/eng/index.html
B)3-Spoke Double EVO Wheel=$139x4($558)
http://www.genuinesaab.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=37&products_id=164
C)B+G Lowering Springs=$251.30
http://www.drivewire.com/performanceparts/bg/saab900s2loweringsprings.html
Total=$1109

Grand Total=$1596

Stock HP=150hp
Increased HP=~30hp
Total Estimated HP=180hp

With my exhaust, that puts my car up to roughly 190hp. Which isn't too shabby, for a n/a. However most of those mods are either for handling/stability or personal comfort rather than performance.

OK. Started a fresh one, stuck it and locked it.

We'll let this one fall unless anyone has anymore immediate suggestions.
Do you like it better CENTERED or no?
