New Stage 2 video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAlQDD1Kxl8

Just fooling around today with some new video editing software I bought Saturaday, but the effect is pretty cool so I thought I would share. I mic'd the motor and incorporated a video capture of the new HP Tuner suite Dashboard to show off the new skin feature that lets you totally customize your gauge cluster. The frame rate for the gauges is a bit slow due to the massive amount of data/video/sound I was capturing simultaneously.

Enjoy!

It is an upgraded version of the stock unit(TD04HLB-15TK3 twin scroll). We modify the housing to accept a larger compressor wheel (Super 19T) and clip the turbine to reduce back pressure.

What kind of turbo is that? It sounds amazing!

It is just a custom PID I made for the vid. You can directly show boost pressure, or make a custom PID like this based on absolute load. It is almost as accurate, but PIDs are calculations, basically absolute load/100%*14.7psi will give the effect shown (<100% load is vac, 100% is 0psi, over 100% is boost). I can email you the configuration file I used if you want to try it out, just shoot me an email.

Cheers,

Very nice and that turbo sounds is money!

I see you have the VAC/BOOST gauge on your HPtuner gauges. How did you do that? I was trying to add it to mine the other day.

MORE VIDEOS! I love watching these :)

PS: I will most likely be shooting you an e-mail for the "boost" file as well. I sometimes have a co-pilot, and it would be nice if they can relay it as part of my streaming data

Brian, I know you have been offering your tune for a while now. Approximately how many 9-3's have you tuned so far? I hope you know how much we all appreciate your help. That's is what impresses me the most. Anybody can sell you a product, it takes a real professional to stand by that product with support etc. etc.

Good luck and I'm looking forward to purchasing your "MPG" tuning program "my wife might be watching this forum" I'm looking for an 07-08 Aero to replace mine.

Just out of curiosity, how are you getting these hp/tq numbers? Are you actually going on a dyno or are you estimating?

not 100% sure, but if you go to brian's 'VTuner Saab' website, there are dynographs given for all stages (Stage 0, 1, 2)... look under 'products,' choose an option (stage), and click the 'view dynograph' .... looks pretty legit to me (i also have stage 0 lol)
