Bought a new truck a few months back, during that period of new truck bliss the 08 9-3 2.0T 6 speed sat untouched for about a month.
The 12v battery had died(fairly new battery) so I pulled it and charged it, replaced the key fob battery at the same time.
I believe the BCM is in some sorta self-protection/anti-theft mode now because when I go to reconnect the main battery cables the alarm sounds and the key fob won’t release the ignition/steering column locks.
Any insight on rectifying this issue would be greatly appreciated as the 9-3 is my(classy)”winter-beater” and here in Wisconsin snows not too far away.
