I would like to install new speakers in my 1984 saab 900. Any advise re: brand, model, or installation would be greatly appreciated.

Dont buy blue chip brands , there all muck, get yourself on ebay and buy home audio drivers ones that dont have dry paper cones, and these will give you a much better quality fo sound than any car audio driver.

I would say get one small amplifier with a 40 amp fuse, run some front 6 inch woofers with a pair of tweeters and run one 12 inch subwoofer in the boot.
