so i installed a new bulb after one apparently appeared to have burned out and noticed that it now seems to be either not as bright or aimed lower cause it is off center from the other bulb. i got the right bulb so i am thinking somehow it is not centered i guess. anyone ever had this problem? also, sometimes the light will come on and sometimes it needs a tap. i am guessing its a short possibly in the connection

I'd take it out and give the contacts a clean. Check it is seated correctly in the housing, its quite easy to have it not seated properly. Check also the contacts in the wiring loom, quick squirt of contact cleaner will help. Not had the problem with this car but did with my old 900. There is cut out in the flange on the bulbs which needs to line up with the shape in the headlight, then u need to make sure the spring clips holding the bulb in are sclipped in correctly.
