i am planning on retourquing my head bolts this weekend and was wondering if I'll need to replace any gaskets etc before I have my engine apart. I can get parts in advance. I searched the forums and couldn't find an answer so I apologize in advance if this has already been asked.

i am planning on retourquing my head bolts this weekend and was wondering if I'll need to replace any gaskets...

The valve cover gaskets should be replaced once you take the valve cover off. Not an absolute must, but if that is the first time the cover has been removed, the VC gaskets are probably hardened and flat.

There may be seals in the crankcase vent system to replace, but I am not too sure which ones on a 9-3.
