The previous owner of my '99 9-5 was in a minor front end collision, enough damage where the front bumper needed replacing as well as the hood. He replaced both, however he did not replace the headlight wipers and Saab quoted me an outrageous amount to replace them, so I've been without them for a while.

Anyways, the paint job on the replaced front bumper is poor to say the least, it flakes off with a scratch from a fingernail. I'd like to have the bumper repainted, however, I do not want the empty holes where the headlight wipers used to be. I'd like a more permanent solution then covering them with black electrical tape. I was thinking maybe I could swap in a newer style bumper that does not have the headlight wiper holes? Does anyone know how much a new bumper will be? Thanks for any info. - James

I don't think I want to spend $1400 on a new bumper, anyone with suggestions as to how to cover up the holes where the headlight wipers used to be?
Go to a scrap yard and pull two old wipers and stick em in. :cheesy:

Bond some mesh on the inside of the bumper, and smooth over the top with some filler. The newer MY02 style bumper had pop up washers, and will take a bit of fabricating of the mounting points to fit.
