I just bought a 2001 2.3t 9-5 Saab with a few problems and I'm having some difficulty figuring them out so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Symptoms are as follows: After warming up, when at idle or coming to a stop the oil light will flicker and the car will die silently. Gets worse the more I drive.
After driving for a while it pretty much dies any time the gas is not being pressed. Sometimes the car will not start immediately after dying.

So far I've checked for vacuum leaks, cleaned the MAF sensor, dropped the oil sump and cleaned the screen and all the parts real good and replaced the O-Ring on the tube in the oil pan, cleaned throttle plate and body.

Thoughts so far are it may be the oil pump, IAC, oil cooler?

Where does the tube connect that belongs here?(1) The previous owner just blocked it with a bolt. What is #2 supposed to be holding/supporting?

I'd also like to know what this is?

It's located directly under #5
To the right of #4 which I think is called the DI Cassette? if you are in front of the car looking at the engine.
