My son has an 02 9-3 SE and his blower/cabin fan will not shut off. When he starts the car, it cycles through defrost then to main vents and stays on with key out of ignition. I've search teh forumn and it seams clear it is the blower resistor which I understand to be located beneath the cabin air filter.

The problem is that he is 8 hrs away at school and can not find a fuse to shut the fan down. Threads here have indicated there is a 30 amp cabin fan fuse to shut the fan down. When he looked, he found where the 30 amp cabin fan fuse should be but says there is no fuse in it. I'm stumped and have no way to look at the thing until august. Does anyone know of any way to shut this damn fan off without having to disconnect the battery each and everytime he's done driving?

Any help would be greatly appriciated as what little hair I have now is slowly fading.
