Looks to me like Edwardian Gray--a very common color for the Classic 900:)

I recognize it because that's what our 1990 3-door wore from the factory (I had it resprayed with a later SAAB color, Imola Red:cool: )

Went to Halfords (UK store) last night for a spray can of Black 170. No stock so I would have to get it especially mixed. Now this cost £10 for 300ml and 24hrs service. I asked the girl to check the ingredients, turns out to be 100% Scwharz (no **** Sherlock!)

Then check ingredients for Ford Black - guess what - yep 100% Schwarz

So pays to check the ingredients list before you buy eh? Saved me £5

well chuffed.

why does my baby blue not appear on the chart. my colour code is the blue as i had a bottle of touch up paint mixed.
Well, I'm guessing that PPG didn't/doesn't supply that color. It's their color chart, not Saab's. It's just a handy tool.

$225, whats wrong with her aside from being thrashed? i guess in the salt areas of canada that is little rust, but here that would be considered fairly extensive. regardless, thats a good price!
