It’s a 2.5L inline 6 from my ‘74 TR6. My big worry is having set the internal timing correctly…I followed the cam maker’s instructions but still I’ll be worried that I messed something up until it fires for the first time…!

Have exactly the same thoughts as you have when it comes to starting the car for the first time after the overhaul.

You have to let me know how it goes according to the startup. A video clip had been nice.

Thanks Bent! It will be several weeks from now at the earliest bit I’m optimistic that it will run and drive before the snow (and salt 😤) flies.

Then I started the engine yesterday and had no leaks or other problems.

As you can see from the pictures posted the engine build is now complete. And it went without a problem.

Did you paint your jack stands to match the car?
