I just drove home my first Saab, A 95 convertible 900s 5 spd. I never drove one before. Well I have to say that I love this car, Handles like a dream and the 2.3 is pretty snappy. I have a few issues to tend to. The rear window has to be resealed(todays project) and some minor things. I will post later on the repair.

Welcome to SaabCentralized.
I can't imagine how a man is to reseal a convertible rear window.
We do have plenty of convertible owners here who will help.
The 2.3 will last a long time, its not baked in an oven as the turbocharged engine is...heat and moisture are problems for motor vehicles.
Good luck and success on the projects.:cheesy:

window fixed

OK heres the way I went. I used a product called eterna-bond. Its a 4 inch rubber roofing repair and seam tape, this stuff sticks to almost any surface. The best part is that it is peel and stick. Once it is applied it is stuck. Works great for the tops that have shrunk.Took me about an hour to cut strips and reattach the glass. No priming just clean with acetone and you are ready. Also no drying time.

Is that seal rubber-based? If it is, it may melt when the temps get high inside the car in the summer. A friend of mine had a barn reroof done and before they did the shingles & tar paper, they put on a layer of rubber (sounded like ice dam material) that drips through the plywood seams when the roof heats up. It's done that for the last 10 years and ruined lots of stuff up in the second floor of the barn... Ron
