Great find.

1 - The exterior (especially the front end) looks better than any of the previous shots we've seen (in my opinion). The grille definitely appears better integrated than in the previous shots. And look, body-colored molding all around.

2 - I am sure some people are going to hate the rear light treatment. I can't decide if I like it, yet (assuming these are accurate).

3 - The interior is definitely an altered shot. But, could it be a placeholder image Saab designers used before they had decided on what the final outcome would be? It might very well be an accurate portrayal of the final spec.

Well obviously as can be seen, they are photoshopped(or what ever program used).

There is only one question and that's, is the person who made them, seen the ready car, or just using imagination and known spyshots? And I'm some what quite sure its the last option mentioned.

NO NOT A BANGLEBACK!

I see this is P-shop as you can tell, the wheels on the car are specified for 9-3SS. The 9-5 had a different wheel offset and Saab never messes with wheels. Unless they fitted 9-3 SS suspension to 9-5.

There is no question that the interior pic is altered, but the front and rear look somewhat accurate. Overall though, all of these pics look like a photoshop creation.

Oh no!

Wait, just cleaning up my keyboard after getting sick from looking at the rear of the 9-5. Looks like a mix between a Subaru and a Suzuki. Front end is ok - rear is simply ricer looking. Please Saab do not go in this direction. :nono; ;oops:

I'll believe the new look when I see it...from more credible sources
Now I know that you're not referring to me!! ;)

I hope you're saying that because they were originally posted by S.P. on that other Saab site...:cheesy:

Nah, I just meant these new pics may or may not be P-shop'd and I don't want to get immersed in debates about speculations of the exterior.

Actually I haven't been following the other Saab site lately so I guess I missed all the excitement there

IF the pics are supposed to resemble the real thing, I think the front is great, but the rear is mere copycat of the new A4/S4 ..... unoriginal.

even the front looks touched ... if you look at the "questionable" shot of the white one on the road, and the grainy shot from the assembly line, you will notie the same 3 horizontal slats below the main grill ... these are missing from the pic in question in this thread

Even though i'm not in favor of the Audi taillights I like it.

I don't think it's a photoshop. look at the reflections on the car. the car matches up with all of the spy photos.

two exceptions. horizontal slats are obviously for the Aero. tailights have a dfferent plastic and latches the front with the white reflector and silver border

on a side note has anyone ever noticed that saab tailights have the hocker stick flow toward the inside. with the 9-2 being the exception they always arc down on the outside fender.

After seeing these pics(if accurate), I ask why bother? I highly doubt adding new Audi taillights and losing the Saab quad-opening grille up front will cause a mad rush on 9-5's. This pathetic facelift is yet another quick-fix by GM to try and show that it DOES pay attention to Saab, however it only makes the 9-5 look more generic. C'mon GM, learn something from Ford's treatment of Volvo already! And adding a GM badge to the body won't add anything to the looks of the 9-5 either! I'll be sticking with my 9-3 for a couple more years, and would definitely get another Saab, but if this 9-5 facelift is where they are going design-wise I will be looking into something else.

i don't think anything is wrong with the front of the car

this is the new saab face for all models to come

the car needed a refresh badly. it's not selling and every other car in it's class has just released all new models.

i like the photos above the rear actually reminds me of a fighter jet about to blast off.

don't worry when the all new 9-5 is debuted in 2-3 years it'll look worse than this

I couldn't even imagine that. I'm sorry but this platform is way too old. The body itself is what looks bad to me. They're just trying to keep it fresh  but I think with its 90s shape its just a lost cause. I'm hoping the real all new 9-5 will impress.

The blurry blue pics and the rear spy pic look better than the silver mock up pics. Atleast it looks "decent" in those pics.

Can someone translate this page, ja ?

9-5 BACK TO THE FUTURE
