The TV repair guy didn't have any good caps so i'll have to wait until next week for the cap.
Still seems to have some misfire on startup, though. Idles fine but if i give it some gas it doesn't want to rev and i can hear the "brap brap brap", same as my dad's mercedes had.
But this could be down to my near empty fuel tank, because it goes away pretty quick and the car still goes pretty well.
Ps: another thing i noticed right after the fix is that it takes a little less cranking to get the engine started.

Looks like i'm not out of the woods yet but i've since found out something useful.
The DIC uses a capacitive discharge system and it converts the 12V that comes in into 400V, meaning that there has to be a big old capacitor to store the charge.
Which makes sense, the big old blue capacitor (sometimes incorrectly referred to as a relay) is the only capacitor suitable for this task and in my case it was cracked open hence the weak spark.
