This stuff is a pain to get right. I can get an excellent finish (like a mirror) after a bit of wet and dry then rubbing compound. But! after flatting back, the metallic part greys-out and there is a grey colour ring around the edge.

A top coat of laquer makes no difference.

Anyone solved this with metallic paints or have advice on it? I'm about to try a finishing squirt and then not cutting it back before putting the laquer on.

It's a small dent in the front bumper I'm on with. If I can get that right, I'll have a go at the slightly crazed side skirt (got a bump from somewhere).

Edit: Whoops, wrong forum! Finishing squirt seems to have worked though (ooh - err!)
