[Roaspec]

2005 9-5 2.3t 125000mi.
Have a cel on with 0101 code.
Am told it’s the mass flow sensor .
Have cleaned it for now but will
Be replacing it.

There is a white substance inside
The hose , pipe that goes into engine
And at the hose connections on the sensor.
Is this something I need to be concerned
About?

If it has a stock air filter, I'd check that and that the box is air tight around the base. If it has a retrofitted oil soaked filter, these can send oil mist downstream, contaminating the MAF sensor - however thats just an aside, I can't see that causing the white substance, which I've never heard of.

Air Filter was the first thing I replaced. It was a stock filter. Didn’t have any oil on any. Didn’t really have much debris on it. I will recheck the mounting and the hose from the filter to the MAF.
