I currently have a check engine light which is giving me code P2228.

The technician that serviced my car said it was for the map sensor.

When I accelerate in my car there is no difference between roughly 70-75% throttle vs wide open throttle and the needle on my turbo gauge will not move past the 'o' in turbo under any circumstance. My car has 141k miles when this started happening.

Ive been searching the forums and I cant seem to find a picture of where the map sensor is located. I think I found it but it looks different than the part I purchased.

Thats what I have figured out from googling the code myself. When I looked up both the barometric pressure sensor and map sensor online they appear to be the same sensors except one has a rubber O-ring.

Do you know where the Barometric Pressure sensor is located?

not all the 9-3 were fitted with the sensor,if everything was ok before the tune, then the tune has thrown up a glitch..give casey time to sort it out before doing anything yourself..

I was told I needed this part for my 9-3 2.0T ARC convertible, I have the same part and part number, but the sensor is so much different.
