Look, mate, saying things like "I'm from New Zealand" when I ask for Aussies doesnt help anyone.rawill said:From NZ, but I do have leather seats in my 89 FPT maroon vert donor car, but, I might put it back on the road yet!.

I'm up in Waterfall, which is the last suburb of Sydney heading south towards Wollongong along the Princes Highway.Swinging Beef said:Im from Wollongong in NSW, 80km south of Sydney in Australia.
From time to time I suspect I will be in need of a wreckers and aftermarket supplier for my Saab.
Are there any there Aussies on this forum who know the where to go already?
It's not quite a cartel anymore. Steve (originally part-owner of Saab Serve at North Parramatta) has apparently sold his share in Saab Serve and now runs his new business Saab Salvage based at Riverstone full-time. There is a website but I couldn't get it to resolve in the DNS today so the site might only have been set up in the last few days.Rodentmaster said:You will enjoy.......
dealing with the 'SAAB wreckers' cartel in this country, especially Sydney..........
Some parts that I've sought quotes on have been close to 70% of new price value. Once I rang to get a price on petrol tank and got told that $800 was a bargin!
A second hand radiator was just over $200, I went and bought one NEW for $310, in came complete with thermo switch and top mounts.
I sent you a msg through the Evil Bay about the car you're selling too - my wife would kill me if I got a replacement donor car for the two I'd just disposed off (and I'm out of work - again - so spending's grinding to a halt real fast!).Swinging Beef said:Well I got lucky so far and dont seem to need anything, but I know the way it works.. the harder the bit is to get, the more likely I am to need it.
c900.. I was wondering if you would chime in, Ive already spied your ads on ebay for grilles, and you arent too far away at all.. mine has broken clips, but stays in quite well, and at this time of the year, I dont want to be spending on bits I dont absolutley need.
15" Mags would be nice later in the year, tho.:cheesy:
If you are looking for Aussies here just look at thread content - no one writes like they speak quite like you lot as you just proved. Some of the comments from Aus make me cry with laughter, I just read them 'thinking' Aus accent and they all come out like Sir Les Patterson. More please.Swinging Beef said:Bugger.
Sounds interesting. Yes that certain national car scrapper is a joke -- unhelpful and overpriced. I saw that cheap Aero and have been meaning to have a look. I don't have room (so my wife says:evil: ) to part a car right now but maybe my dear old mum would let me do it at her place. I'd like to have a store of 16v turbo bits.beegee said:I'm in the west also and find the same probs...a certain national car scrapper over here charges through the nose for 2nd hand parts....makes more sense to buy the expensive new parts!
Special Tool, theres a 900 Aero in the Quokka going cheap/maybe parted out at the moe....my sis did find a Saab spec scrappers recently that where quite reasonable, I'll try and find out who they where.
